Grace upon Grace

I have been tossing it over in my mind the last little while if we should sell our house and try and get a better, bigger house with a basement, room for the kids to grow, and play in. Hubby and I chatted about it last night and searched on MLS, too see what was out there. I started to get very excited, started to get those butterflies in my stomach....and we left it on the note, we'll see. I know that hubby isn't too keen on moving......

So last night I opened my devotional to the days reading and this is what it read;

I have learned to be satisfied with the things I have and with everything that happens. Philippians 4:11

Test this question: What if God's only gift to you were his grace to save you. Would you be content? You beg him to save the life of your child. You plead with him to keep your business afloat. You impore him to remove the cancer from your body. What if his answer is, "My Grace is enough." Would you be content?
You see, from heaven's perspective, grace is enough. If God did nothing more than save us from hell, could anyone complain?...Having been given eternal life, dare we grumble at an aching body? Having been given heavenly riches, dare we bemoan earthly poverty?...
If you have eyes to read these words, hands to hold this book, the means to own this volume, He has already given you Grace upon Grace.

Max Lucado - In the Grip of Grace.

great verses. I think it really applies to if you decide to move too, if it happens than that is what he planned and if it doesnt than he have given you what you need right now!

Great Post, sometime in life what we need to learn most is to be happy where we are. Sometime us humans work so hard on doing bigger and better things we miss out on the wonderful called today. PS. I like your house!!

Whipped shortbread is the easiest ever. It's my mom's recipe:

1 lbs butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
3 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt

Beat in mix master for 10 minutes until fluffy. I topped mine with little pieces of Maraschino cherries. Bake at 350 for 7-10 min.

My story

Welcome to my blessed life!! Meet myself, a 32 year old stay at home momma. Meet hubby, who I have been married to for 14 years. We got married right out of high school, and while there have been many hardships, my husband is my best friend, and I wouldn't change a thing. We are living life with a 6 year old Grade oner, Gracie and 3 year old toddler, Alysha, which has its challenges, but we love every minute of it. God has blessed us with everything we need as well as tonnes of great friends and family.
